Excited to share that our Stanford Deep Learning course (CS230) will be recorded this year, with new lectures coming to YouTube (likely in early 2026) in partnership with Stanford Online! To share more information: Andrew Ng and I will be teaching the class this Fall. We'll cover the fundamentals (neurons, layers, deep networks) and go further with updated in-person lectures on: - Deep reinforcement learning - Reinforcement learning with human feedback - Transformer architectures - Diffusion models and GANs - Agentic workflows: multi-agent systems, advanced prompt engineering, memory, and more... The course will continue to include videos from DeepLearning.AI on Coursera. But for the first time, we're also bringing in agent-led skills validation via Workera! ?? I'm eager to hear what other topics are top of mind for you that you'd like to see covered?

Do you rely on clinical studies to optimize patient care or develop health policy? Are you involved with designing and conducting clinical trials? The Epidemiological and Clinical Research Graduate Certificate from the Stanford University School of Medicine and Stanford Center for Health Education can hone your ability to evaluate published research, interpret data, and design study protocols. It builds multidimensional thinking and statistical understanding in the service of diagnosing, treating, and preventing human disease. Instructors include Kristin Sainani, Rita Popat, John Ioannidis, and Victor Henderson, all Stanford University professors of epidemiology and population health. Pursuing this graduate certificate means that you will take courses alongside residential Stanford graduate students. Credit for the courses is recorded on your transcript and can be applied to future degrees. Complete three required courses and one elective to earn the certificate. Required courses include: ?? Introduction to Epidemiologic and Clinical Research Methods ?? Introduction to Probability and Statistics for Epidemiology ?? Intermediate Biostatistics: Analysis of Discrete Data Elective course options offer deeper dives into biostatistics, clinical research methods, global health research, and the epidemiology of infectious disease. On average, the time to complete the certificate is nine months, but students can take up to three years. Gain the confidence to use statistics to compile, represent, and interpret population-level health data with the Medical Statistics Program from the Stanford University School of Medicine and Stanford Center for Health Education. Taught by Kristin Sainani, professor of epidemiology and population health at Stanford, the program illustrates mathematical concepts by exploring real-world studies. Examples are drawn from a range of sources including medical literature and the popular press. The three courses in the program address: ?? Data analysis and descriptive statistics ?? Probability and inference ?? Common statistical tests in medical research While health and medical applications provide the program’s focus and context, the statistical foundations you will gain can be applied to any industry. Learners who complete the program will receive a certificate of achievement, and continuing medical education credits are available to healthcare professionals for each course.
