Mary Olson - Menzel - so many great things in here. I love, encouraging curiosity, and investing in yourself emotionally and psychologically. We are in such an unusual time where you can also invest in yourself in your own growth of scale and knowledge without having to take a class. I think the best way to avoid this in the future is to make yourself so valuable that they can't ignore you and would never want to lose you.

So true Mary. Most individuals look at career and market corelation as binary. There is so much to career than the immediate market trend, winners always hedge smartly towards their next role with many infact succeeding in adverse climates.
A positive attitude makes all the difference. It's not always easy, of course. But so important.
